According to Wikipedia, "Serrekunda (or Serekunda) is the largest city in The Gambia, lying southwest of Banjul. Its population as of 2006, was 335,733 people. Although Banjul is The Gambia's capital, it is on an island and cannot grow further, making much of the growth in Serrekunda."
Never saw them in real...'free to touch'- well, as alluring it is, probably would be too afraid.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful week for you.
I would be happy to take pictures, but I don't think I would want to touch!
ReplyDeleteIt is so strange to see them, just relaxing and so calm looking. Do they ever bite people?
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child we would go to the zoo and look at them - they are very, very frightening animals. I would never want to be close enough to touch!
